Universal Contracting Group (UCG) is the contracting subsidiary of the Diamond Group Of Companies. UCG was registered in Baghdad to address the growing needs for General Contracting Services. UCG’s contribution to the rebuilding of Iraq will focus on construction, electro-mechanical, Safety and Security, Information Technology (IT) and telecommunication projects along with trading activities.
UCG has alliances with large general-contractors from the region. The entire diversified experience and resources of the partners have been made available to the joint venture to enable it to deliver efficient projects. UCG construction services include: hospital buildings, office and residential buildings, sewerage treatment plants, water treatment plants and electrical distribution and transmission projects. We are glad to offer our Safety and Security solutions for public and private sectors in the fields of access control, surveillance systems, armored vehicles and personal identification. Our IT and telecommunication services offer solutions to medium and large customers with a wide scope ranging from basic cabling to ERP solutions and IT consulting.
Our mother company, the Diamond Group, was established in 1978 in Baghdad with limited commercial scope. In 1997, the Diamond Group established its branch in Amman, Jordan; Amman’s office has functioned as one of the suppliers of products to Iraq for the United Nations Oil for Food Program. These contracts include: the supply of oil and gas field equipment and spares, service, installation, commissioning and technical support of the supplied heavy machinery.
